It Started With A Green Couch

We have now moved onto Mr. L street's home office.  We found this amazing couch that could not be more perfect for this space.  It has an added bonus of being a sleeper so we now have another instant guest room if the other is being used.

His entire office is Stickley furniture as is our master bedroom and the office is connected to the master so it has a very nice flow.  I will do a full post on his office once we have completed it.   This couch is the perfect color, perfect straight lines that match his furniture and I am in love with the upholstery tacks.  We just ordered a coffee table from Stickley that will take 8-12 weeks to come in!  Yikes-I am so impatient, I want it now, now, now.  Now we are on the hunt for the perfect rug.  Window treatments will be done soon!  I just love it when rooms come together, it was this couch that got the wheels rolling.

So we needed to improvise an end table and this is what we came up with.

I absolutely love it and we actually think we will keep it.  He owns a gazillion books so this is just perfect.  The look we are going for is masculine, old study, layered with books, collectables, and fairly dark.  It is so fun to create another room.

Thanks for stopping in!
Hope you are having a lovely day.

My Home Office

I don't think I could ask for a more beautiful home office...

Just a few last touches (art work, glass atop the desk, roman shades made of material with a french design) and she is done.  It has been a labor of love transforming this once very dark room into my very own boutique like home office!

Thanks for stopping in.

Spring....please?

I was at the Farm and Flower Market yesterday and I simply couldn't resist...

...signs of spring in the form of lovely yellow tulips!
         Made me smile in anticipation.
