Alyssa Rocks!

OK ladies, I know my blog's focus is thrifting and DIY fun.  It is also about ME (not too much though so don't run away).

I just want to share a little bit of pampering from last night.  There is one area in my life where I spare no expense and that's my hair.  Pretty, healthy hair just makes me feel good.  It is also very important to me that I click with my stylist.  Years ago I had moved and needed to find a new stylist and salon.  I don't know about you but that was no easy task.  I went through many before I found my sweetie pie Alyssa, at Innovations in Merrimack NH.  Before her I experienced the chatty patty, then the one who wouldn't talk to me at all, then the nasty snob, then the 'pretend' stylist (she really needed to find a new profession), finally I was lucky enough to discover Alyssa.  She has the perfect balance of professionalism, humor and incredible talent.  She is also absolutely adorable!

I have fairly thin hair so it is difficult to grow long because once it gets beyond my shoulders it just doesn't look good.  For years I have wanted to get extensions and 3 months ago I finally did it and I could not be happier.  My salon uses SO.CAP extensions.  I  love them!  I love how they look and they really don't require much maintenance.  I really only have to be gentle when brushing.  I use a satin pillowcase so my hair doesn't have extra friction and I keep it in a braid when sleeping.  That's about it.

Here are a few pics from last night:

Yeah Alyssa!

Nice and relaxing room to hang out in while color is on your hair.
They now offer iPads for their clients to use while you're there!
I booked a Keratin treatment for my next visit.  It will be the first time I try it.
Anyone have experience with Keratin?

While we are on the subject of vanity, here is my favorite nail color right now
Never thought I would like gray on my nails but I do!

My favorite flats
On a final note, here is my most favorite pooch.  Our english bulldog Albert.

  1. Cheap Taps UK products are generally excellent semi-bright Antique Tapsplated body on refined copper, bright nickel and chrome plating three layers. Generally, the first copper layer, to enhance adhesion of the plating layer of nickel (including semi-bright nickel and bright nickel) plays a role in corrosion Waterfall Taps. And because the nickel itself is relatively soft and dark color, therefore, will be plated with nickel-chromium layer on layer, while increasing the brightness of the hardened surface Bathroom Sink Taps
