My Introduction To Blogs

I discovered blogs less than a year ago.  I have been reading them (addicted to them) ever since and haven't looked back!  Before I get going on my own blog, I would first like to give credit to the first blog I discovered, For The Love of a House.  If you have not yet found this wonderful blog, please take a few minutes (then perhaps an entire weekend) to read all Joan has shared with us from beginning to present.

Joan and her husband Dan have lovingly renovated a neglected old New England home and are presently working on the barn which has now become an addition to their home.  Without revealing too much further about this delightful blog, I will share the 3 reasons I fell in love with Joan's blog:

1. This quote:

"WHEN EVERY CORNER SPEAKS OF POSSIBILITY I KNOW THAT I AM HOME."

2. This picture from her kitchen:

Joan's kitchen is my definition of eye candy.  I adore this room. Who wouldn't want to sit around that cozy table by the fire with a hot cup of coffee?
My favorite feature in Joan's kitchen is this..

This photo takes my breath away every time.  The door is so darling and I love how it is left open, so inviting.  This is the picture that spoke to me and beckoned me to continue reading.  In doing so, I also learned how to navigate through a blog and then discovered many other blogs as a result of linking to her favorites.  The rest is history!  I was hooked.

3.  Last but not least, Joan's blog is consistently understated.  That is the sign of a very classy lady! She sets a great example for us newbies.
